This is the actual image of Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit which resulted in a home run at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, July 9, 2011 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Then in the 3rd inning, Jeter hit a 3-2 curveball 420 feet into the stands, his historic 3,000 hit. Jeter did not stop there, in the fifth, he hit a double moving him to the 27th all-time for hits. Jeter hit a single in the 6th inning. He then topped of his momentous day with hit number 3,003 in the 8th inning with a single.
