I’m having trouble getting a digital photograph big enough for a Fathead Custom
Graphic. What’s wrong?
Just like the athletes and entertainers we immortalize as Fatheads, you need to
start with a gigantic digital image. The default settings on your digital camera
may not work but you should be able to change them. Check your user’s manual
for more information. Because laptop skins and gaming device skins are
smaller than our wall graphics, a smaller digital image may work.

What’s all this about copyrighted images?
If you took the photograph that you’re sending us then you own the copyright,
which is cool. If someone else took the photograph, you need permission from that
person to use the photograph for a Fathead Custom Graphic. If you used a professional
photographer he or she should be able to provide you with a release form.
But that may not be all. You need to ask yourself whether or not you have permission
to make a Fathead of the person or artwork in question, even if you took the photo.
If not, the right of publicity prohibits us from creating a Fathead for you. If
the person or artwork you want made into a Fathead is famous and you don't have
that person's permission, chances are good that there's a right of publicity issue.

I see that I can make a Fathead Custom from my Xbox LIVE Avatar. How does that work?
First, you have to have a Gamertag through Xbox Live. That's how we retrieve the
graphics for your Avatar from Microsoft. Once you enter your Gamertag you pick one
of ten poses that you'd like to use for your Custom Fathead. We then generate a
preview of your Fathead Avatar. Some of the items you've selected for your Avatar
may not be licensed for print and if that's the case we'll let you know. You can
then go update your Avatar and continue. There are four sizes to choose from up
to 4 feet by 6½ feet. Since each Custom Fathead Avatar is die cut around the figure
we offer printing only on our exclusive Fathead vinyl and not on canvas. Just like
all our vinyl prints, your Custom Fathead Avatar has a special low tac adhesive
that allows you to move and reuse the product without damaging your walls.

FATHEAD BIG HEADS
What are they?
Fathead Big Heads are portable die-cut images of people's heads. That's right, the head and nothing but the head (well, the face actually, if you're going get technical). They are not wall graphics and not self-adhesive. They are meant to be held up and displayed with the kind of passion that would lead you to buy someone's head at ten times normal size. Which is not normal, but is very Fathead. Fathead Big Heads fully embrace the saying, "Get Your Head in the Game!"

What are they for?

Is there any place I should NOT put a Fathead Street Grip?
You bet. DO NOT PUT YOUR FATHEAD STREET GRIP ON THE WALL! Same thing goes for carpeted floors, sealed floors like wood, vinyl or linoleum, or vehicles. It's not that they won't stick, it's that your Street Grip could easily damage these surfaces if you ever removed it. Surfaces like unsealed concrete, asphalt and pavers are safe and won't be damaged when you pull up your Street Grip.

FATHEAD SKINS
What are Skins made of?
Like everything else Fathead, Skins are made of championship material. The stuff
that makes up winners like Kobe Bryant, Ryan Howard and Tony Romo? That’s
Fathead.
Oh, were you hoping for a more technical response? Skins are meant to stylize and
protect your electronic device. Each Skin is composed of three basic parts: the
image, the adhesive and the laminate. The image is printed on a high-quality press
for three-dimensional depth and that vivid, hi-def appeal. On the back, you’ll
find the same low-tack adhesive that’s on the back of our REAL.BIG. wall graphics.
Which, by the way, means Skins can be peeled off and re-applied as often as you
like. The laminate is what gives each Skin a tough, protective coating that prevents
scratches and scuffs and means your Skin won’t fade.

Can Skins protect my device?
Are we talking everyday dings and scratches or throwing your laptop from a moving
train? Straight answer: yes and no. The laminate on Skins will protect your device
from scratches and scuffs. You throw the laptop from a train and you’ve got
bigger issues to worry about.

Are Skins safe for kids?
Like all Fathead graphics products Skins are safe for kids (older people too). In
fact, we’ve been certified through laboratory testing to meet CONEG (Coalition
of Northeastern Governors) and CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of
2008 – HR4040) as well as EN 71 Part 3 (European Standard “Safety of
Toys”, EN71: Part 3: 1994, and Amendments). What all of this means is that
you won’t find harmful levels of heavy metals or phthalates or other stuff
that’s going to hurt you in the things you buy from Fathead. We just wouldn’t
do that. Period.

How do I know what size Skin to purchase for my laptop or gaming device?
If you don’t already know the size of your laptop, you’ll need to measure
the back of your screen before you order. To figure out the size, use a tape measure
to determine the number of inches from the lower right hand corner of the screen
to the upper left hand corner. That measurement will tell you what size Skin to
order.
You can also measure the height and width. Here are the actual dimensions of our
Laptop Skins:

My laptop gets really hot – can Skins take the heat?
Skins have been put through the paces in both laboratory and field tests –
both extensive in their own right. That said, we do not recommend spelunking into
a volcano with your Skin because then it will probably melt. Otherwise, you should
be cool.

What if it doesn't stick right?
If you tried to stick it on your car, bales of hay, around a tree, on the sidewalk,
or on your girlfriend – well……… you're on your own –
Fathead is designed for clean, dry, flat wall surfaces. Have a dry, clean, flat

Does it matter what kind of wall I put it on?
Yes. Fatheads need clean, smooth, dry walls. Pebbly or rough textured walls are
not friendly to Fatheads so don't go there. It's OK to put your Fathead over wallpaper
but it has to be clean, dry, and smooth. Some coatings applied to wallpaper to improve
the ability to clean it can decrease stickiness so check frequently to see if your
Fathead shows signs of peeling off. And remember, your Fathead was made for use
indoors, so don't be putting it on the side of your RV.

Will it damage my wall?
No. Fatheads are perfectly safe for walls. The special low-tack adhesive does not
leave any residue and will not pull off paint so long as the paint is in good condition
and isn't already peeling. It's even safe to put up over wallpaper provided that
the wallpaper itself adheres properly to the wall. See above for more information
on the kind of walls Fatheads prefer.

Should I save the liner it comes on?
YES! These are the essential tools to transport your Fathead if you move. So, please
save the liner your Fathead came on, the ROLLER, and the TUBE that your Fathead
came in. If you want to re-hang your Fathead on another wall, you will be thankful
you have the right equipment. Also, if for any reason you need to return your Fathead
you MUST return it on the liner it came on.

What if I didn't save the LINER and I want to move it a long distance?
A vinyl shower liner works as a replacement liner for your Fathead, you can purchase
one at your local hardware store or dollar store. Once you have your liner, peel
the Fathead off the wall and place it on a clean surface – STICKY SIDE UP
– make sure the shower liner is big enough to cover the entire area of your
Fathead and place your liner on the Fathead. Then, roll it up around any tube that
is large enough. DO NOT FOLD your Fathead as it will cause creases to appear.

If it deserves a new place, how should I move it?
Identify where you want your FATHEADtm to go, wipe the wall clean (no
soap), wait until dry and then with the help of a friend carefully remove the FATHEADtm
from one wall and carry it to the new location and follow the rest of the instructions. If you are moving
it to a new location that is not within walking distance, put your Fathead back
on the original liner it came with and transport to your new location. Then buy
a new Fathead to fill the space where the old one was.

How do I apply Skins to a device?
You won’t need your friendly, neighborhood rocket scientist to skin a device…just
the ability to follow these four simple steps:
1. Dirt is the arch nemesis of Skins! Clean the surface of the device per the manufacturer’s
suggestions. If you’re not sure, refer to the directions that came with the
device or visit the manufacturer’s website.
2. Peel your Skin off its backing and apply slowly to the device – smooth
out any air pockets as you go. If you need to reposition it, don’t worry –
Skins can be removed and reapplied without stretching out of shaping.
3. Show off your new Skin to everyone in the immediate area.
4. Take photos and email images of your new Skin to family, friends and rivals

What’s the best way to clean Skins?
Skins can easily be cleaned using two soft, clean cloths and a splash of water.
Simply dampen the cloth and wipe down the surface of your Skin. When you’re
done, use the second clean cloth to dry it.

How long will it take to receive my order?
I know you're excited but try to relax. Your Fathead should arrive in 5 – 7 business
days, faster if you choose next day or second day air shipping. With Fathead Skins, you should receive your Skin within 7 – 10 business days after ordering. We're going to send
you an email when your order ships. We watch inventory in real time so it’s
pretty rare that your choice will be out of stock or backordered, but if this happens
you'll be contacted to let you know when it will arrive.
We ship Monday through Friday except holidays. Allow 2 full business days for us
to process your order. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays are not business days. If
you order on Friday and Monday is a holiday, then your order won't get processed
until Tuesday.

What if I need to return a product that I paid for with a Gift Card?
Not a problem. You just need to follow our normal return policy.
If your Gift Card is still active, we'll credit it. If it is no
longer active, we'll issue you a new one for the refund amount.
If you used both a Gift Card and another form of payment, we will
first credit or replace the Gift Card with the amount originally
deducted from it and then credit your other form of payment for the balance.

Do I need to keep my Gift Card after I've used it?
Just to be safe, hang on to your Gift Card until your Fathead has arrived. On the
off chance that it is damaged during shipping, we can credit your Gift Card for
you to make another purchase. Call us at 1-877-FATHEAD (1-877-328-4323) and we'll
walk you through the process.

Are gift cards taxed?
No. The state does not tax Gift Card purchases. However, when you or the person
you give it to uses the card for a purchase, that purchase will be taxed by the
state – ONLY if it will be shipped to Michigan, Ohio, and Rhode Island. Otherwise,
you don't have to worry about taxes.
