I’m having trouble getting a digital photograph big enough for a Fathead Custom Graphic. What’s wrong?

Just like the athletes and entertainers we immortalize as Fatheads, you need to start with a gigantic digital image. The default settings on your digital camera may not work but you should be able to change them. Check your user’s manual for more information. Because laptop skins are smaller than our wall graphics, a smaller digital image may work.

What’s all this about copyrighted images?

If you took the photograph that you’re sending us then you own the copyright, which is cool. If someone else took the photograph, you need permission from that person to use the photograph for a Fathead Custom Graphic. If you used a professional photographer he or she should be able to provide you with a release form.

What are Skins made of?

Like everything else Fathead, Skins are made of championship material. The stuff that makes up winners like Kobe Bryant, Ryan Howard and Tony Romo? That’s Fathead.

Oh, were you hoping for a more technical response? Each Skin is composed of three basic parts: the image, the adhesive and the laminate. The image is printed on a high-quality press for three-dimensional depth and that vivid, hi-def appeal. On the back, you’ll find the same low-tack adhesive that’s on the back of our REAL.BIG. wall graphics. Which, by the way, means Skins can be peeled off and re-applied as often as you like. The laminate is what gives each Skin a tough, protective coating that prevents scratches and scuffs and means your Skin won’t fade.

Can Skins protect my device?

Are we talking everyday dings and scratches or throwing your laptop from a moving train? Straight answer: yes and no. The laminate on Skins will protect your device from scratches and scuffs. You throw the laptop from a train and you’ve got bigger issues to worry about.

Are Skins safe for kids?

Like all Fathead graphics products Skins are safe for kids (older people too). In fact, we’ve been certified through laboratory testing to meet CONEG (Coalition of Northeastern Governors) and CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 – HR4040) as well as EN 71 Part 3 (European Standard “Safety of Toys”, EN71: Part 3: 1994, and Amendments). What all of this means is that you won’t find harmful levels of heavy metals or phthalates or other stuff that’s going to hurt you in the things you buy from Fathead. We just wouldn’t do that. Period.

How do I know what size Skin to purchase for my laptop?

If you don’t already know the size of your laptop, you’ll need to measure the back of your screen before you order. To figure out the size, use a tape measure to determine the number of inches from the lower right hand corner of the screen to the upper left hand corner. That measurement will tell you what size Skin to order.

You can also measure the height and width. Here are the actual dimensions of our Laptop Skins:

My laptop gets really hot – can Skins take the heat?

Skins have been put through the paces in both laboratory and field tests – both extensive in their own right. That said, we do not recommend spelunking into a volcano with your Skin because then it will probably melt. Otherwise, you should be cool.

What size are the bracelets?

The bracelets will fit most wrists and have a flexible strap with two different openings for the closure. The bracelet closes by passing the attached game ball miniature through one of the two openings in the flexible strap. Adults with wrists larger than 8 inches in circumference may find the fit uncomfortable.

What if it doesn't stick right?

If you tried to stick it on your car, bales of hay, around a tree, on the sidewalk, or on your girlfriend – well……… you're on your own – FATHEADtm is designed for clean, dry, flat wall surfaces. Does it matter what kind of wall I put it on?

Yes. Fatheads need clean, smooth, dry walls. Pebbly or rough textured walls are not friendly to Fatheads so don't go there. It's OK to put your Fathead over wallpaper but it has to be clean, dry, and smooth. Some coatings applied to wallpaper to improve the ability to clean it can decrease stickiness so check frequently to see if your Fathead shows signs of peeling off. And remember, your Fathead was made for use indoors, so don't be putting it on the side of your RV.

Will it damage my wall?

No. Fatheads are perfectly safe for walls. The special low-tack adhesive does not leave any residue and will not pull off paint so long as the paint is in good condition and isn't already peeling. It's even safe to put up over wallpaper provided that the wallpaper itself adheres properly to the wall. See above for more information on the kind of walls Fatheads prefer.

Should I save the liner it comes on?

YES! These are the essential tools to transport your FATHEADtm if you move. So, please save the liner your FATHEADtm came on, the ROLLER, and the TUBE that your FATHEADtm came in. If you want to re-hang your FATHEADtm on another wall, you will be thankful you have the right equipment. Also, if for any reason you need to return your FATHEADtm, you MUST return it on the liner it came on.

What if I didn't save the LINER and I want to move it a long distance?

Pull out the wax paper from your kitchen or buy some at the local grocery store, peel the FATHEADtm off the wall and place it on a clean surface – STICKY SIDE UP – place enough wax paper to cover the entire area of your FATHEADtm and roll it up around any tube that is large enough. DO NOT FOLD your FATHEADtm as it will cause creases to appear.

If it deserves a new place, how should I move it?

Identify where you want your FATHEADtm to go, wipe the wall clean (no soap), wait until dry and then with the help of a friend carefully remove the FATHEADtm from one wall and carry it to the new location and follow the rest of the instructions. If you are moving it to a new location that is not within walking distance, put your FATHEADtm back on the original liner it came with and transport to your new location. Then buy a new FATHEADtm to fill the space where the old one was.

Where Can I Stick Fathead Tradeables?

Just about any flat, clean surface can make an ideal home for your Tradeable. Like your locker, math book or between the trucks on the bottom of your skateboard. Surfaces to avoid: unpainted drywall, brick, cinder block, porous textured paneling and textured wallpaper.

What If I Want to Move My Fathead Tradeable?

Tradeables peel easily off any surface. If you threw away the original backing, simply use wax paper or hit the grocery store to buy your own. Place your Tradeable onto the original backing or wax paper to transport him to his new home.

FATHEAD SKINS - Application & Care

How do I apply Skins to a device?

You won’t need your friendly, neighborhood rocket scientist to skin a device…just the ability to follow these four simple steps:

1. Dirt is the arch nemesis of Skins! Clean the surface of the device per the manufacturer’s suggestions. If you’re not sure, refer to the directions that came with the device or visit the manufacturer’s website.
2. Peel your Skin off its backing and apply slowly to the device – smooth out any air pockets as you go. If you need to reposition it, don’t worry – Skins can be removed and reapplied without stretching out of shaping.
3. Show off your new Skin to everyone in the immediate area.
4. Take photos and email images of your new Skin to family, friends and rivals

What’s the best way to clean Skins?

Skins can easily be cleaned using two soft, clean cloths and a splash of water. Simply dampen the cloth and wipe down the surface of your Skin. When you’re done, use the second clean cloth to dry it.

What if I spill something on my furniture?

Use a clean white cloth to absorb spills immediately. If necessary use a water-based cleaner. Never use an alcohol-based cleaner, as the alcohol will dry the leather and may cause a crack.

Are there any special care instructions for the embroidered logo?

The best way to care for the embroidered logo on your recliner is to use water-based cleaners and blot any stains that may appear. Do not scrub.

I can’t find the recline button. Where is it?

The recline button is on the inside right arm of the chair. Push the button and you’ll find yourself reclined!

I just received my furniture and it doesn’t recline. What’s wrong?

To prevent the recliners from opening up during shipping, there is a string underneath the chair connecting the foot rest to the back of the chair. Make sure this string has been cut. If so - and you’re still experiencing problems reclining - call Fathead at 1-877-FATHEAD (1-877-328-4323) and we’ll give you a hand.

AUTO GLASS GRAPHICS – INSTALLATION GUIDE

How easy is it to install Auto Glass Graphics?

Each style of Auto Glass Graphic is a little different to install. The Rear Window Tints require 2 people and a sharp blade. The Front Visor Tints and Side Window Graphics can be installed in minutes with just one person. The Body Panel Magnets literally just slap on to the clean metal side panel of your car.

Detailed instructions for installing Rear Window Tints.

It will take a minimum of 2 people to properly install the Rear Window film on your window. The temperature must be between 45° and 90° Fahrenheit in order for the adhesive bond to form correctly. Glass must be completely CLEAN and DRY before the installation.

You will need the following items in order to properly install your window graphic:
1) Soap & Water to clean the window
2) A soft, clean lint-free cotton cloth
3) A new, sharp razor for trimming to size
4) Masking tape

Preparing the Surface:
The window must be thoroughly cleaned before film is applied. Clean the glass using soapy water, and then thoroughly rinse the window. Be sure that the window is completely free from any remaining soap residue.

DO NOT USE ANY CHEMICAL BASED WINDOW CLEANERS AS THIS MAY REACT NEGATIVELY WITH THE ADHESIVE.

Installation:
Before removing backing material, unroll the graphic and select the position on the window that is desired. You may wish to use masking tape along the top edge to temporarily hold the graphic in the desired position.

Once desired placement is selected, position 1 person on either side of the window and carefully begin removing the backing material starting from the top and working your way to the bottom. WARNING: DO NOT STRETCH THE MATERIAL. THIS WILL CAUSE THE PRODUCT TO CURL AND LIFT FROM THE WINDOW AFTER IT IS INSTALLED. While peeling away backing material, gently smooth the film against the window.

If air bubbles form during this process, gently lift the material and reapply while smoothing the bubble area. Once graphic is completely flat against the window and all wrinkles and air bubbles are removed, start from the center of the glass and gently rub the entire area with a soft, clean, lint-free towel to secure the adhesive to the glass.

Carefully trim with the razor blade the excess material around the perimeter of the window trim. WARNING: USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN TRIMMING TO AVOID INJURY AND TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. Discard excess material.

Removal Instructions:
The product can be easily removed by starting at one corner and pealing the film from the window. If necessary, use a plastic scrapper to help loosen the material from the glass, then peel away from the window. Remaining residue can be easily removed with a glass cleaner.

WARNINGS
Do NOT use an ice scrapper on the rear window or risk of damage to the film may occur. This product was to be applied to the OUTSIDE of the rear window only. This product requires trimming with a sharp razor blade.

Use extreme caution when using any sharp objects as they can cause severe injury. Take extreme care not to damage any surrounding area of the vehicle when trimming the excess. Excessive heat and/or cold temperature exposure will reduce the life of the adhesive. Glass can be easily scratched. Use extreme caution when using the razor blade on the glass surface. This product is to be applied on the rear window ONLY.

This product is not to be applied to any other window of the vehicle as it may significantly obstruct visibility and create a significant safety hazard. Do NOT operate windshield wipers on glass with the window graphics installed. This could damage both the window graphic as well as the wiper. Installing this product may reduce or impair visibility.

WARNING: State and Local laws may prohibit the use of window film being installed on your vehicle. Please check your local and state regulations to verify that the use of this product is approved. This product is to be applied to the OUTSIDE of the rear window ONLY. This product is not to be applied to any other window of the vehicle as it may obstruct visibility and create a safety hazard. This product requires trimming with a sharp razor blade. Use extreme caution when using any sharp objects as they can cause severe injury. Take extreme care not to damage any surrounding area of the vehicle when trimming the excess. Install this product only in strict accordance with the provided instructions. Installing this product may reduce or impair visibility.

Fathead’s Auto Glass Graphics are not manufactured by Fathead, LLC. They are the product of a third party and are manufactured under quality control standards and are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Any material that is shown to be defective upon receipt of the product will be replaced without charge.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; INDEMNIFICATION
PURCHASER AGREES THAT IN NO EVENT SHALL IN-CONCEPT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES BEYOND THE REPLACEMENT OF ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRECEDING WARRANTY, AND THAT IN NO EVENT SHALL IN-CONCEPT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER THAT MAY RESULT FROM THE USE OR INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT. PURCHASER SHALL INDEMNIFY IN-CONCEPT AGAINST ANY CLAIMS MADE AGAINST IN-CONCEPT BY ANY OTHER PERSON RESULTING FROM PURCHASER'S USE OR OWNERSHIP OF THE PRODUCT. How long will it take to receive my order?

Chill. Your FATHEADtm should arrive in 5-7 business days, faster if you choose next day or second day air shipping. We're going to send you an email when your order ships. We watch inventory in real time so it’s pretty rare that your choice will be out of stock or backordered, but if this happens you'll be contacted to let you know when it will arrive.

We ship Monday through Friday except holidays. Allow 2 full business day for us to process your order. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays are not business days. If you order on Friday and Monday is a holiday, then your order won't get processed until Tuesday.

Fatheads are selling fast so the sooner you order, the sooner you'll get it.

When will I receive my furniture?

After you place your order, you will be contacted by a shipping agent to make shipping and delivery arrangements. If the recliner you ordered is in stock it should arrive in 1-2 weeks. If it is NOT in stock, it will take 3 - 4 weeks for delivery.

What are my shipping options?

At checkout, you can choose between two delivery options: curbside and white glove. Curbside delivery is just like it sounds – your furniture is unloaded at the curb for you (and a friend) to muscle into your house/apartment. A less strenuous option, white glove delivery gets your furniture into your home and unpacked for you. With white glove delivery, the delivery person will even dispose of all packing materials – leaving you with nothing to do but enjoy your new recliner.

Can I choose my delivery time?

Yes! Since your furniture will be delivered by a freight carrier, you will be contacted by a shipping agent after you order. The agent will review the shipping process in detail with you as well as make delivery arrangements - including the date and time you want your furniture delivered. How’s that for fan-worthy service?

Furniture For Fans Return Policy

You may return new, unopened items sold within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Items must be returned in their original product packaging. Please call us at 1-877-FATHEAD (1-877-328-4323) immediately and we will arrange the pickup. No orders will be accepted back without prior authorization and a Return Merchandise Authorization number issued by Fathead. The refund will be in the full amount of your order minus all delivery charges to and from the destination and a 25% restocking fee. Items that have been opened and used may not be returned. Orders that are cancelled prior to shipping are subject to a 25% processing and restocking fee. Custom orders may not be cancelled. What are the terms of my limited lifetime warranty?

The wooden frames, spring systems and reclining mechanisms are all under a lifetime warranty. Cushions have a five year warranty for DreamSeat (Five year Pro Rated for XZipit). The fabric is under warranty for one year for DreamSeat (Five year Pro Rated for XZipit). Refer to Warranty & Care Instruction Manual for more details.

How do I purchase a Gift Card or E-Certificate?

Go to our Gift Card Page and select either Gift Card or E-Certificate. Choose the dollar amount you want and add it to your cart. We offer denominations of $50, $100 and $150.

At Fathead, we take care of our own.
